my back up pump made by evolution es2500 gph and i think this is better than the submersible pump coz the submersible pump spit oil and your water gets hot..did you know if you had plenty oxygen on your pond controls algae……god bless you
We had a small fountain and an inexpensive fire pit that were in bad shape in one corner of our pool and patio area. We removed them, grabbed some shovels and dug a small pond. We didn’t really intend to put fish in, but it just seemed like the thing to do after it was filled with water. There are 3 tiny koi, so we’ll see how it goes for them. The waterfall in the “top” pond is powered by a 950 gph pump in the lower pond that has a pre-filter attached. We tried the skimmer which came with the kit, but it just seemed like overkill, so we took it out. All in all, a very rewarding project. I’m looking forward to summer evenings with an adult beverage in my hand.
